Hey, I’m Sam

I am a professional audio engineer and music producer based in beautiful Brisbane, Australia.
I built my expertise under the mentorship of prolific engineer/producer Steve James, working with artists and bands such as The Screaming Jets, Dave Gleeson, Cameron McGlinchey (Rogue Traders), Ian Peres (Wolfmother; John Butler), Kerry Jacobson (Dragon), Wave Raiders, Hazel Ray, Travis Collins, The Short Fall, and many others.
My heart is open to all flavours of music, and my engineering skills extend across a variety of sonic signatures. Whatever your requirements may entail, I’ve got you covered!

About Me

Sam Endres is a professional studio engineer/producer based in sunny Brisbane, Australia. Born and raised in the small city of Cairns, he moved to Brisbane to pursue his dream of working in the music industry. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, he proceeded to spend 5 years under the brilliant mentorship of legendary English producer Steve James (The Screaming Jets, The Rutles).

Sam worked with Steve on numerous projects at Red Engine Recording, a music studio based in Manly. Such projects include the latest Screaming Jets album Professional Misconduct; The Neil Innes Tribute Concert featuring The Rutles & Monty Python; The Define EP by Among The Restless; and many more. During this time, Sam has also engineered a variety of his own recording sessions with major artists like Travis Collins, Jackie Barnes, Route 33, and more.

Sam is also a skilled multi-instrumentalist, specialising in electronic MIDI production, and proficient in the arts of guitar and keys. He has composed instrumentals for artists in multiple genres, spanning from electronic pop to modern rock music. Projects include full production of Hazel Ray’s recent singles; synth and bass production on The After’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head cover; synth and bass production on upcoming releases from Wave Raiders; as well as various others.
